LASA Specialist Support Project
 
 

Lasa specialist support service

Lasa has been awarded a contract to run a national specialist support service in welfare benefits in Wales. The advice line will be operating from 1 April 2008. The new specialist support service is funded by the Legal Services Commission to provide expert legal advice, mentoring and support to eligible organisations in Wales.

The specialist support helpline in England is run by the Child Poverty Action Group.

Who can use the specialist support project's services?
To use our services your organisation needs to be based in Wales and:

  • Those holding the LSC unified contract
  • Those holding the specialist quality mark
  • Those holding the General help Quality mark
  • And in respect of the categories of mental health public law – those holding a General criminal Law contract.

What services do we provide?
The specialist support project can offer you free telephone advice

How can you contact us?
If you have a case that you would like to discuss, call us on the specialist support service advice line. It is 0845 271 3230 and is open Monday to Friday, 10.00AM to 4.00PM
