22/09/2009 – New director of the Social Exclusion Task Force announced
The government has confirmed that Campbell Robb, who currently manages the Office of the Third Sector, will become the new head of the Social Exclusion Task Force following the retirement of its current director, Naomi Eisenstadt, at the end of the month.
On his appointment to the new role of 'Director-General of the Office of the Third Sector and Social Exclusion', Mr Robb said -
'I am very excited to be taking on this new role. I have been very impressed by the excellent work the Social Exclusion Task Force does, tackling some of society's most entrenched social problems. I hope to build even stronger links between the Task Force and the Office of the Third Sector.
Both of these units not only require strong leadership across Whitehall, but also extensive networks outside of Government. I hope the positive relationships I already have will be of mutual benefit to both units.'
