09/11/2011 – We’re recruiting a marketing intern
Lasa is a charity which works with thousands of other
charities across the UK,
including Shelter, Age UK and Citizens Advice Bureaux. We are the only charity in the UK to have
received funding from Google, and we recently won a Nominet Internet award and
were shortlisted for The Guardian Social Enterprise Award.
We are looking for a keen and enthusiastic intern to work
alongside the Head of Marketing and Business Development. This role would suit
a recent graduate who is looking to break into marketing in the charity sector.
This is a great opportunity to get some fantastic experience in a charity marketing department and to build your network in the charity sector. You will be managed by Zoe Amar who is also a writer and speaker on charity marketing, contributing to The Guardian, Charity Comms, and other charity trade press and blogs.
You will assist with marketing initiatives including:
1. Writing and
editing copy for our website and offline marketing materials
2. Campaign plans,
launches and events
3. Market research
You'll need to be available for 3 months from mid- January onwards. You'll have good computer skills and preferably some experience of marketing or communications work, such as writing for your student newspaper or contributing to a student website. Some graphic design skills are also desirable, but not essential. You'll be very reliable, organised and have good attention to detail.
Although we can't afford to pay for the internship, we can promise you some excellent work experience that will boost your CV, and the opportunity to build some good contacts in the charity sector and learn a lot about charity marketing. We'll pay for your travel, lunch and other expenses.
To apply, please email your CV to zamar@lasa.org.uk by 30 November.
