25/08/2009 – Lasa’s 25th anniversary events
Lasa is delighted to mark
its 25th anniversary this year.
To mark this event, we'll be putting on two major events. The first of these will be hosted by City Bridge Trust on October 7. The event is intended for grant officers and directors of funders, councillors, local authority workers for strategic monitoring zones and regional CVS workers, alongside some other stakeholders, and will be an ICT learning and networking event.
As a leading ICT charity Lasa has helped thousands of voluntary and community sector organisations use ICT over the last 25 years to:
- Deliver services more efficiently
- Build sustainability
- Achieve their goals
The technology has moved on but many voluntary and community sector organisations need more support with ICT basics. At the event on 7 October we'll be discussing:
- Why these issues are still important, and
- How we can address them.
We are very pleased that Paul Johnston, the Head of Cisco's European public sector team, will be speaking about online communities, and how some of these new technologies can help solve old problems.
