16/04/2010 – LASA WINS ICT AWARD

For it’s outstanding contribution to the NTEN community, London Advice Services Alliance (Lasa) charity received a prestigious ICT (Information and Communications Technology) award at the 2010 Non-profit Technology Conference in Atlanta, GA, USA.

Terry Stokes, Director of Services at Lasa picked up the award entitled the NTEN ‘10th Anniversary Member Recognition Award’ for Lasa’s decade of contributions to the NTEN community.

He said: ‘I am pleased to pick up this award on behalf of Lasa. We have worked hard over the past decade to provide support to voluntary organisations so that they can use technology more effectively to improve their services. Our close links with NTEN and others in the international community are invaluable. This award recognises our achievements and highlights the invaluable support that Lasa offers.’

The NTEN Awards are given out annually to innovators in ICT, organisations and individuals that have made a significant contribution to the sector. This year the Nonprofit Technology Conference 2010 took place on April 8-10, 2010 in Atlanta, GA at the Omni Hotel at the CNN Center.  Others honoured for long involvement include Techsoup Global, Beth Kanter, Deborah Elizabeth Finn and Gavin Clabaugh.
