Report - ICT Funding Briefing for Funders

Published by Miles at 2:28 pm under ICT Hub, Research

ICT Funding BriefingThis week sees the publication of a new report from the ICT Hub, “Making more impact with your funds”.

The report features a number of case studies on how investing in ICT has mutually benefitted voluntary and community organisations and their funders.

Key messages for funders and grantees:

*  ICT is absolutely essential to running an effective organisation;

*  Funders need expert advice to help them understand the impact of ICT on the activity they are funding

*  Funders and grantees should account for Total Cost of Ownership (purchase cost, training, software, maintenance, etc);

*  Good ICT can generate significant returns on investment for funders;

*  Investing in effective ICT solutions can help free up frontline staff to spend more time working with clients;

N.B. Author Simon Davey is getting married next month and can be contacted at Preponderate Network for consultancy advice on weddings and ICT. We wish Simon and his bride all the best on their special day.
