ICT Hub Circuit
Rider Conference 4.0
28th and 29th
February 2008 - Birmingham
Circuit Riders: Standards and Skills for the sector
As part of Lasa’s continued work with the ICT
Hub, we
are running the 4th National Circuit Rider Conference in Birmingham. We
want to bring delegates together so that they can learn from each other
by sharing ideas, information and experience. The conference is
designed to be practical and accessible so that participants can take
the knowledge they gain and apply it to their work in the voluntary
sector. At the Conference you will find “live”
examples of
innovative technology, sessions on “practical tools for the
job” and also lively discussion and debate about standards
and
skills for the sector.
What makes
this event different from other ICT conferences?
We are interested in technology because we believe it
can help voluntary organisations achieve their missions – not
for its own sake. So this is an event where people will:
- talk in plain English and avoid jargon.
- offer solutions which are relevant to small voluntary
organisations.
- discuss issues and learn from each other rather than
passively listening to "ICT experts"
- celebrate the independence and diversity of the
voluntary sector

Council (BVSC), 138 Digbeth High Street, Birmingham,
